Meet Viola Stewart

meet our residentsViola Stewart was born in Iowa Springs, Iowa, to Andy and Cathryn Brehm. She has two sisters, Luella and Ruby, and one brother, Clarence. Viola married Newton Stewart and the couple had two children, Thomas and Donna, both of Wichita.

Viola was a homemaker who also worked at the Sedgwick County Courthouse in the auditor’s office, where she wrote payroll for Sedgwick County. Newton retired from  Rand Graphics and then Donna went to work for them. Viola also enjoyed crocheting and knitting, making beautiful tablecloths, doilies with beads and a variety of other  items. Both Viola and Newton loved caring for a large, productive garden. The Stewart family attended Calvary Presbyterian Church.

Viola continues to enjoy chapel services at Wichita Presbyterian Manor. Her favorite activities include playing bingo and rummikub. Viola, thank you for letting us be a part of your life!

Meet Freida Dilling

“Will I really feel at home in a retirement community?”

Frieda Dilling

“That’s the question I asked myself when I moved to the Manor four years ago. What I discovered was a community of staff and residents who are so welcoming that I felt at home right away. I have so much fun that my only challenge is I can’t do it all! When I drive up after being away, I think, ‘I’m home with my family now’… and that’s a very nice place to be. I tell people they just have to visit to understand.”

At Wichita Presbyterian Manor, we understand that making a decision about the future can come with uncertainty. For more than 40 years, we’ve been helping people like Freida find their ideal retirement. How can we help you?
