Wichita Presbyterian Manor has several programs for the benefit of employees.
When you see an employee doing something great, you now have a way to honor that person, through the Bravo program. By simply filling out a card and slipping it in the Bravo collection box, you can thank him or her for their extra effort and bring public recognition to the person.
In addition to residents, co-workers, supervisors and guests are welcome to fill out a card to recognize an employee.
Reasons to fill out a card can include thanking a person for his or her extra effort, noticing that a person went the extra mile for a resident, helping a co-worker with a task or problem, and to thank and encourage the do-gooder.
Wichita Presbyterian Manor offers free continuing education sessions to keep our employees knowledgeable about the latest developments in senior care. Systemwide network training sessions are held regularly for disciplines including nursing, human resources, environmental services, dining services, senior leadership and marketing. Other regular training includes skin care, dementia care, culture change and gracious dining.
Continuing education credits are bestowed free of charge to our employees through many of the training sessions, with authority for these session granted by the state of Kansas.
Assistance with education-related expenses is available to employees for accredited educational programs leading to a certification, license or degree. Employees apply for the assistance and awardees receive a check upon successful completion of the course.
